Who We Are

Our Story

Mount Aspen was conceived in 1995 by its visionary founders, Jeffrey Allen and Jessica Randazzo. The couple met a decade earlier under uncanny circumstances: both moved into the same community home in Boulder, Colorado on the same day. They fell in love, and fate would eventually guide them to Montana—the last great frontier, where the buffalo still roam and the goodness of the human spirit remains unspoiled.

Inspired by the untamed beauty of the mountains, the boundless possibilities of the open sky, and the sense of freedom only found in the wilderness, they conceived the next iteration of their family legacy.

And so, after nine months of preparation, Mount Aspen was born.

Since its founding, the camp has become one of Montana’s best-kept secrets. Here, boys and girls from around the world could gather to experience true adventure, push themselves to their limits, and shape their own destiny. Here, service is revered, limits are pushed, and absurdity is embraced with open arms.

Because at Mount Aspen, we don't just change lives—we create the environment for a profound transformation that medical science cannot explain and health insurance refuses to cover.

Guided by Our Principles

At Mount Aspen, our principles guide our culture—forging the next generation of leaders. Our administrators, counselors, and campers proudly uphold the following principles:

Don't be a little b*tch.

The wilderness doesn't care about your comfort zone. And neither do we. (just kidding, there are beds).

If you build it they will come.

This is specifically about blanket forts.

No parents, no rules.

Multi-generational gatherings are a flex. But when Mom and Dad go to bed, anything goes.

Practice “Sacred Profanity”

We revere the ridiculous and ridicule the revered. One minute you're having a spiritual awakening under the stars, the next you're using marshmallows as earplugs. Both are equally valid camp experiences.

If you’re bored, you’re boring.

Put down the phone. Stay curious. If we catch you discussing the weather, you’ll immediately be sent to the lake for reflection.

Don’t let your dreams be dreams.

The best moments aren't on the brochure. Make sh*t happen, invite others along - and for the love of camp - commit to the bit.

This is Mountain Aspen. A place that transcends time, space, and your previous understanding of what constitutes "appropriate summer activities". A place where today's questionable decision becomes tomorrow's legendary tale and where reality bends to the will of those brave enough to sign our extremely comprehensive liability waiver.

Welcome to the legacy.
